Yeah socialorb, I think you’d be able to impress the discerning absinthe drinker in a lady, but definitely not your wine-loving one. I was web surfing as usual when I came across this site.
I’ve just seen this in Italy, but didn’t bring any home as getting liquids through UK airports is a problem thanks to XXX bastards. The slotted spoon comes with each bottle (attached to it in small card envelope).

This brand of absinthe is not really anything to write home about, though it is far superior to Cavalin Assenzio. Both of those brands are mixed and macerated and you really must partake of the distilled varieties or you’re not getting the real deal. I live in Vicenza,Italy and Pastiglione is one of the easiest brands to find. Unfortunately, I seem to have to travel to Venice or Rome to find any absinthe. Of course, my lack of Italian language skills might be part of the problem. Anyway, I suggest educating your selves about absinthe by visiting http://www.feeverte.net there you will find reviews, ordering info and places to purchase accessories on the internet.

I was just gifted with a bottle of this last night. Mine came from Venice too, Caffe Poggi di Stefano Marascalchi, Accademia 855, 30123 Venezia according to the sticker on the box. I don’t know if this is one of those you can purchase over the Internet… I hardly want to break the seal!
